How do I set the date and time?

-Press *6, plus your Master Access Code or press the time programming function key (programmed by your installer).

-Press 1 to select Time and Date.

-When using the PK5500/LCD5500, use the < > scroll keys to find the menu option and press * to select.

-Enter the time in 24-hour format (HH:MM), followed by the date (MM:DD:YY). Press # to exit programming.

Note: If you have an LCD keypad, your installer may have programmed your system to display the time and date while the keypad is idle. If this is the case, you can press the # key to clear the date and time display.

How do I add additional User Access Codes?

In addition to the Master Access Code, you can program up to 32 additional User Access codes. Press *5, plus your Master Access Code. The Program or System indicator will begin to flash, and the Armed indicator will turn on.

-Enter the 2-digit number to be programmed (i.e. 06 for user access code 6; enter 40 for the Master Access Code).

-When using the PK5500/LCD5500, use the < > keys to find the specific code and press * to select. Enter the new 4-digit access code, or press * to erase it. When programming is complete, enter another 2-digit code to program or press # to exit.

-For systems using multiple partitions/areas, access codes can be assigned to specific or multiple partitions/areas.

How do I turn the Door Chime function on/off?

To turn the door chime function on or off, press and hold the Chime key for 2 seconds or press *4.

What does the trouble code mean?

When a trouble condition is detected, the Trouble (yellow triangle) or System indicator will turn on, and the keypad will beep every 10 seconds. Press the # key to silence the beeps. Press *2 to view the trouble condition. The Trouble or System indicator will flash. The corresponding trouble will be represented by numbers 1-8.

2 = Loss of AC Power

Comments:

If the building and/or neighbourhood has lost electrical power, the system will continue to operate on battery for several hours.

Action:

Call for service

 

3 = Telephone Line Fault

Comments:

The system has detected that the telephone line is cut.

Action:  

Call for service

 

4 = Failure to Communicate

Comments:

The system attempted to communicate with the monitoring station, but failed. This may be due to Trouble 3.

Action:

Call for service

 

5 = Sensor (or Zone) Fault

Comments:

The system is experiencing difficulties with one or more sensors on the system.

Action:

Call for service

 

6 = Sensor (or Zone) Tamper

Comments:

The system has detected a tamper condition with one or more sensors on the system.

Action:

Call for service

 

7 = Sensor (or Zone) Low Battery

Comments:

If the system has been equipped with wireless sensors, one or more has reported a low battery condition.

Action:

Call for service

 

8 = Loss of Time & Date

Comments:

If complete power was lost (AC and Battery), the time and date will need to be re-programmed.

Action:

Re-program Time & Date

How do I bypass a zone?

-The system must be disarmed prior to proceeding.

-Press the * key.

-Press the 1 key.

-Use the arrow key to scroll to the zone you wish to bypass.

-Press the * key on the appropriate zone.

-A “B” should appear next to the zone when the system is bypassed.

-Press the # key repeatedly to exit to the the home screen (ready light should appear).

-System can now be armed with zones bypassed.

-If armed, the bypass will be removed at the next disarming.

-To remove the bypass on the zone, repeat these instructions.

How do I set the date and time?

Note: All partitions must be disarmed before date and time can be set.

1.Enter your Master Code, followed by #63.

2. Press * when the time/date is displayed. A cursor appears under the first digit of the hour. (To move cursor ahead, press *. To go back, press #.)

  • -Enter the 2-digit hour setting.
  • -Enter the 2-digit minute setting.
  • -Press 1 for PM or 2 for AM.
  • -Enter the last two digits of the current year.
  • -Enter the 2-digit month setting.
  • -Enter the 2-digit day setting.

3. To exit, press * when cursor is at the last digit, or wait 30 seconds.

How do I add/edit/delete additional User Codes?

Your installer assigned a master code that is used to perform all system functions. In addition, other security codes can be assigned for use by other users. Only the System Master and Partition Master (Vista-20P Series only) can assign security codes to users.

To add a User, enter: (4-digit Master Code) + (8) + (2-digit user number) + (new user’s security code)

(User 01 = installer; User 02 = Master; User 03 = Partition 1 Master; User 33 = Partition 2 Master)

-The keypad beeps once to confirm that the new user was added.

NOTE: To change the Master Code, you need to enter it twice. For a regular user, you only need to enter it once.

To delete a User, enter: (4-digit Master Code) + (8) + (2-digit user number) + (#0)

To modify Authority Level, enter: (4-digit Master Code) + (8) + (2-digit user number) + (#1) + (auth. level)

(Authority Levels: 0 = standard user; 1 = arm only; 2 = guest; 3 = duress; 4 = partition master (Vista-20P Series only)

Note: For user numbers 04-32 and 34-39, the factory default Authority Level is set as 0.

How do I turn Chime Mode on/off?

Chime Mode alerts you to the opening of a perimeter door or window while the system is disarmed. When Chime Mode is activated, three tones sound at the keypad whenever a perimeter door or window is opened. Pressing the READY key will display the open protection points.

To turn Chime Mode on, enter your 4-digit security code followed by 9 CHIME. The CHIME message will appear.

To turn Chime Mode off, enter your 4-digit security code followed by 9 CHIME. The CHIME message will disappear.

How do I turn Voice Control on/off?

-To turn the voice mode on, press the Setup icon from the home screen on the Honeywell Tuxedo Touch WiFi controller.

-Press the Disp and Audio Icon. Enter the authorization code if it’s required

-Select Voice Mode in the Operating Mode to turn the mode on or off. If both the chime mode and voice mode are selected, the voice chime is automatically selected. Press the home or back icon to save after making the selection.

Users can also increase or decrease the volume on the Tuxedo Touch WiFi controller. To change the volume on the Tuxedo Touch Wifi, press the Setup icon from the home screen. Move the Brightness/Volume bar by sliding it up to increase or down to decrease the volume. Press Yes to save and No to discard any changes. If changes were made, during exit a pop up window will display “Information Settings Saved”.

How do I bypass a zone?

The system must be disarmed before you can bypass zones.

-Enter your security code, followed by [6] (bypass), followed by the 2-digit zone number for the zone to be bypassed. Repeat for each zone to by bypassed.

After each command string, the keypad momentarily displays a “Bypass” message for the zone number.

-Arm the system as usual. When armed, the arming message is displayed with “ZONE BYPASSED”.

-To display bypassed zones prior to arming, enter your security code and press the [6] (bypass) key.

How do I set the date and time?

Note: If your system is equipped with a GSMVLP5 or ILP5 Communication Module, the time and date will be programmed and updated automatically via Central Station. You may still program the correct  Time Zone as shown below.

1. With the system in the disarmed state, select the “Tools” icon from the second page of the Home Screen. The system displays the Keypad screen.

2. Enter your 4-digit Master User Code. The system displays the Master User programming screen.

3. Select the “Date Time” icon. The Calendar screen will appear.

4. Select the correct month by using the left and right arrow icons.

5. Select the correct year by using the left and right arrow icons.

6. Select the correct day on the calendar.

7. When you have finished, select the down arrow icon. The system advances to the time screen.

8. If the displayed time is not correct, select “Clear” then enter the correct time (4 digits) on the keypad and select AM or PM.

9. When you have finished, select the down arrow icon. The system advances to the next screen OR proceed to step 12.

10. Select “Time Zone” and scroll through to select the correct time zone (Mountain – MST for Alberta).

11. Select “Day Light Savings Time”. The system toggles between “Yes” and “No”.

12. When you are finished, select the “Save” key. The system returns to the Master User program screen.

How do I add additional User Codes?

The Master User Code can assign secondary user codes, which are identified by “User Numbers” when their codes are assigned. You can assign up to 14 user codes.

1. With the system in the disarmed state, select the “Tools” icon from the second page of the Home Screen. The system displays the Keypad screen.

2. Enter your 4-digit Master User Code. The system displays the Master User programming screen.

3. Select the “Users” icon. The system displays the Master User screen.

4. Select the “Add New” key. The system displays the User screen.

5. Select the “Name” key. The system displays a keyboard.

6. If desired, you can enter a User Name. Select the “Clear” key and then enter up to 10 characters of text.

7. Once you are finished, select “Done”. The system displays the Keypad screen.

8. Enter the 4-digit code for the new user followed by “Done”. The system returns to the Users Programming screen. The new User is displayed, and along with ****, appears in the User Code field.

9. If a Z-Wave door lock is installed, select the “Z-Wave Lock Control” key to enable the User. The system toggles between “No” and “Yes”. When “Yes” is selected, the User Code will be synchronized with all enrolled Z-Wave door locks allowing the same User Code to be used at the door locks.

10. If “Yes” is selected, the system displays the “Z-Wave Unlocking Door” key.

11. Select the “Z-Wave Unlocking Door” key. The system toggles between “Disabled” and “Disarm”. When “Yes” is selected, entering a valid User Code with Z-Wave Lock Control enabled at the door lock will disarm the system.

12. Once the user programming is complete, select “Save”. The system returns to the Users screen and the new user is shown.

How do I edit/delete a User Code?

1. With the system in the disarmed state, select the “Tools” icon from the second page of the Home Screen. The system displays the Keypad screen.

2. Enter your 4-digit Master User Code. The system displays the Master User programming screen.

3. Select the “Users” icon. The system displays the Master User screen.

4. Select a User Name and then select “Edit” or “Delete”. If you are editing user information, proceed to step 5. If you are deleting a user, proceed to step 8.

5. If desired, you can revise a User Name. Select the “Clear” key and then enter the desired text.

6. Once you are finished, select “Done”. The system displays the Keypad screen. If you wish to change the assigned User Code, proceed to step 7, otherwise proceed to step 9.

7. If desired, enter a new 4-digit code for the selected user followed by “Done”. The system returns to the Users screen.

8. Select “Yes” or “No” when the confirmation screen is displayed.

9. Select the return arrow icon to return to the Master User screen.

How do I turn Chime Mode on/off?

Your system can be set to provide you with an audible alert of the opening of a door, while it is disarmed, by using Chime mode. When activated, three beeps will sound at the control whenever a protected perimeter door is opened and the zone voice descriptor will be announced, if programmed.

1. With the system in the disarmed or armed state, select the “Settings” icon from the second page of the Home Screen. The system displays the Settings screen.

2. Select the “Chime” icon. The system toggles between “Off” and “On”. When “On” is selected, the Chime mode will be active.

3. Select the “Save” button to save your new settings.

How do I turn Voice Mode on/off?

Your system can be set to provide you with a voice alert of system functions by activating the Voice mode. When activated, the system will announce the system status when armed/disarmed. The Voice mode can be turned on only when the system is disarmed.

1. With the system in the disarmed or armed state, select the “Settings” icon from the second page of the Home Screen. The system displays the Keypad screen.

2. Select the “Voice” icon. The system will toggle between “Off” and “On”. When “On” is selected, the Voice mode will be active.

3. Select the “Save” button to save your new settings.

How do I bypass a zone?

The Bypass feature can be used when you want to intentionally arm your system with one or more zones unprotected.

1. With the system in the disarmed state, select the “Zones” icon. The system displays the Zones/Bypass screen.

2. Select the zone(s) that you wish to bypass and then select “Bypass” OR if programmed, the “Bypass All Faulted” button allows you to bypass all faulted zones (excluding Panic, Fire or CO zones). The system displays a keypad.

3. Enter a valid Code. The system returns to the Bypass screen and the zone(s) that are bypassed will be displayed.

4. Select the left arrow to return to the home screen.

5. Arm the system normally.

To display bypassed zones:

1. With the system in the disarmed state, select the “Zones” icon. The system displays the Zone screen and the status for each zone will be indicated.
2. Use the up and down arrows to scroll to additional pages and view the zone status.

Back Up Video Recordings

How do I back up video recordings and clips?

Back up recorded video clips to ensure important video is not lost or destroyed.

-Choose Recorded Video Clips to Back Up

1. Connect a USB flash drive, HDD, or DVD writer to an available USB port (this step is mandatory).
2. Go to MENU > PLAYBACK.
3. Select cameras for playback.
4. Select the date and beginning time of the incident.
5. Click START CLIPPING.
6. Select the ending time of the incident.
7. Click END CLIPPING (same button as START CLIPPING). Clip will be marked.
8. Repeat steps 1-6 as many times as required.
9. Click FILE MANAGEMENT to display a new window containing all marked clips.
10. Select the desired clips.
11. Click EXPORT to save files to the inserted USB device.

-Lock Video Clips
1. Click on the images of the clips you want to lock.
2. Press LOCK to prevent the file from being erased.

-Back Up Video Clips
1. Connect a USB flash drive, HDD, or DVD writer to an available USB port.
2. Click File Management to display the File Management window.
3. In the File Management window, choose video clip(s) to back up and click Export.
4. Choose backup device (USB flash drive, USB HDD, or DVD writer).
5. Click Export (to check backup, choose recorded file in Export interface and click Play).
